Study. Grow. Prep. Repeat.
The whole product is one cycle: The Tape (study what you did) feeds The System (the living spec of how you trade), which powers The Read(tomorrow's prep). This guide is how to actually run it, day to day.
The Tape: reviews and the drill
Reviewing a trade
Running the drill
Switch The Tape to the Drill tab. Pick a setup you want reps on, and the drill replays a past session bar by bar with the future hidden. Mark the chart, make your call, long, short, or no trade, and your call locks before the reveal. Drill reps build your corpus too, filed separately from executed trades so the evidence never blends.
The System: your methodology, alive
The System holds three things, all in one vocabulary:
- Your spec, how you trade, distilled from your own words into something the grader and the Read can use. Edit it as you evolve; versions are kept.
- Your setups, each play in your book, with a living dossier: when it works, when it fails, which confluences matter, built from your reviewed trades.
- Your vocabulary, the concepts your methodology is written in. When the System notices a recurring idea in your reviews, it proposes it; nothing enters your methodology without your confirmation.
The Read: premarket prep
- Before the session, open The Read. Today's read is the hero: bias, thesis, levels, and which of your setups are in context, with a provenance line saying exactly which version of your spec it read with.
- After the session, grade it. Did the read play out? Did you agree at the time? Your verdict lands in the archive next to the outcome.
- Over time, the archive answers the question no newsletter ever will: is this caller actually worth listening to, for your style?
The Read is a thesis to pressure-test, never a signal. It won't tell you to take a trade, and nothing in TraderLeveling can route an order.
How XP and rank respond
XP comes from doing the work the loop asks for, saved reviews, drill reps, journaled sessions, days you stuck to plan. It never comes from P&L, and it can't be bought. Levels climb through seven ranks, Novice (Lv 1) to Market Master (Lv 70), and your five trader attributes rise and fall with how you actually trade. The full tour: Progression.
